Ingenuity High School Course Sequence

At the high school level, Ingenuity’s course sequence ensures students are taking accelerated math and science courses that will prepare them for hands-on research and college-level classes. Students follow one of two math pathways – traditional or accelerated – while all students take the same science sequence.

Other STEM Approved Experiences

All Ingenuity students are required to participate in an out-of-classroom STEM experience. Ingenuity’s Research Practicum is just one of many options to fill this requirement. External STEM experiences must meet the following criteria:

STEM-Oriented

Centered on science, technology, engineering, or mathematics topics

Duration

More than 3 days long

Guided

Supervised by a qualified instructor, or mentor in STEM field

Scholarly

Equivalent to that necessitated by a science fair exhibition, academic conference presentation, or an AP class

Purposeful

Include instructional or experiential learning goals

Enrichment

Must have a curriculum with a unique learning experience
