2026 STEM Research Symposium Recap
|
|
|
|
On May 20, The Ingenuity Project proudly hosted the 2026 Student STEM Research Symposium, where over 300 attendees celebrated the outstanding research and achievements of our students.
The evening began with a Donor and Alumni Networking Reception, where alumni, donors, and supporters gathered before viewing student research posters. Several alumni reflected on the lasting impact Ingenuity had on their academic and professional journeys and shared words of encouragement with current scholars.

Guests then explored poster presentations from Junior Research and AP Capstone students showcasing original research across a variety of STEM and interdisciplinary fields.
During the welcome address, we recognized the dedicated mentors, educators, and staff who supported students throughout the research process. Attendees also heard from our Ingenuity alumni panel featuring Fiona Quin Zabel (’20), Evains Francois (’19), and Camille Coffey (’24), who shared firsthand experiences conducting Ingenuity research and offered guidance to the next generation of scholars.
The evening concluded with the premier Senior Research Presentations, where graduating seniors presented their original findings and celebrated the culmination of their research experiences.

The Ingenuity Project recently participated in two exciting events with Accenture that strengthened community partnerships and expanded our knowledge of emerging technologies.
On May 27, Ingenuity’s Development Director represented the organization at Accenture’s Season of Impact Palooza, engaging with employees interested in supporting Ingenuity through volunteering, mentorship, and philanthropy while sharing the impact of our work across Baltimore City. We extend a special thank you to Andrew Kim, Accenture Managing Director and Ingenuity Board Member, for helping strengthen this partnership and securing Accenture’s sponsorship of the 2026 STEM Research Symposium.
Later that week, on May 29, two Ingenuity staff members attended Accenture’s Nonprofit AI Workshop in Washington, D.C., where nonprofit leaders explored practical applications of artificial intelligence. Sessions led by senior Accenture professionals covered generative and agentic AI, responsible AI use, and prompt engineering, providing valuable tools and insights for integrating AI into nonprofit workflows.
Together, these experiences reflect our growing partnership with Accenture and our shared commitment to innovation and creating opportunities that better serve our students, families, and Ingenuity alumni.
