Middle School Science Fairs & the Science of Curiosity
For the past three weeks, our middle school students stepped into the role of young researchers, designing experiments and sharing their discoveries at Science Fair across our four middle schools. This experience not only celebrates their hard work, but also lays the groundwork for deeper research exploration nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning.

“We are incredibly proud of our Ingenuity students and their exceptional science fair projects. While the end results are impressive, we are even more moved by their journey of discovery: the rigorous experimentation, problem-solving, and constant adaptation. It has been inspiring to watch them navigate unexpected results with resilience and refine their work when faced with obstacles. This year, every student has demonstrated tremendous growth, evolving into sophisticated researchers and thinkers who truly embrace a challenge.”

City Schools Office of Achievement & Accountability become Research Mentors for Ingenuity Poly Students
Through a new partnership with the Baltimore City Public Schools Office of Achievement & Accountability, Ingenuity research students at Poly are gaining direct mentorship from professionals in statistics, environment science, coding, and data science. This support not only enhances students’ current research, but also expands their exposure to high-demand fields and future pathways. We are grateful for the leadership of Chris Wohn, City Schools Director of Research for providing his team’s expertise.

“It was truly inspiring to see the team share their expertise with our students as the room was alive with curiosity and active research. Students described the feedback as timely, supportive, and incredibly valuable to their work.”
