Singapore Ministry of Education Visit Poly and Mount Royal EMS

The Ingenuity Project is proud to host the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) at the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. The Ministry of Education (MOE) formulates and implements education policies on education structure, curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.  MOE is responsible for overseeing the management and development of Government-funded schools, and the Institute of Technical Education, polytechnics and universities.  They were visiting programs on the East Coast of the United States who use Singapore Math concepts to help students achieve deep mastery of mathematics.  While visiting Ingenuity’s High School program at Poly, they met with Executive Director, Lisette Morris, Deputy Director Dr. Willis, Middle School Director Kathy Bacon, Data Manager and former Poly Math Teacher, Nick Tomasino.  Dennis Jutras the Coordinator of the Gifted and Advanced Learning for Baltimore City Public Schools was also on hand to welcome the delegation.  Mrs. Morris then escorted the MOE Team to Mount Royal Elementary/Middle School they met Principal Skeen and Lead Math Teacher Mrs. Alka Sharma.  Both Mrs. Morris and Mrs. Sharma were presented lovely gifts by MOE.  Mrs. Morris said; “Lisette’s quote here”
